Product introduction:
A molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) is an electro mechanical device designed to protect electrical circuits from overloads and short circuits. The term molded case refers to the molded insulating housing that covers the internal components of the circuit breaker.

It is a type of circuit breaker that is enclosed in a molded plastic case, which provides protection from the environment and helps to disperse heat. MCCBs are typically used in industrial and commercial applications, but they can also be used in residential applications.

Components of an MCCB:
1.Trip unit: The trip unit is the heart of the MCCB. It contains the sensors that detect an excess current or short circuit and the mechanism that trips the breaker.
2.Operating mechanism: The operating mechanism opens and closes the contacts of the MCCB.
3.Arc extinguisher: The arc extinguisher extinguishes the arc that is created when the contacts open.

Types of MCCBs:
1.Thermal magnetic MCCBs: Thermal magnetic MCCBs are the most common type of MCCB. They use a bimetallic strip to detect overloads and short circuits.

2.Electronic MCCBs: Electronic MCCBs use electronic circuitry to detect surplus current supply and short circuits. They are more expensive than thermal magnetic MCCBs, but they are more accurate and can provide additional features such as ground fault protection.

Applications of MCCBs:
